| 1 | Trail / Set / Three of a Kind | Three cards of the same rank | A♠-A♥-A♦ (best) → 2-2-2 (worst trail) |
| 2 | Pure Sequence / Straight Flush | Three consecutive cards of the same suit | A-K-Q same suit |
| 3 | Sequence / Run / Straight | Three consecutive cards, mixed suits | A-K-Q mixed suits |
| 4 | Color / Flush | Three same-suit cards, not consecutive | A-K-J same suit |
| 5 | Pair / Double | Two cards of the same rank | A-A-K (highest pair) |

Tie-Breaking Rules Within the Same Hand Type
- Trail: Higher rank wins (A-A-A beats K-K-K)
- Pure Sequence: Higher top card wins (A-K-Q beats K-Q-J)
- Sequence: Same as Pure Sequence — higher top card wins
- Color: Compare highest card, then middle, then lowest
- Pair: Higher pair wins; if equal, higher third card (kicker) wins
- High Card: Compare cards highest to lowest until a difference is found
- Complete Tie: The player who requested the show loses
Special Rule: In sequences, Ace can be used as both the highest card (A-K-Q) and as the lowest card to form A-2-3 sequence. However, K-A-2 is NOT a valid sequence.
Pre-Round Rules — The Boot (Ante)
Before any cards are dealt, every player must place the mandatory "boot" bet (also called ante or blinds in some versions) into the central pot. The boot amount is determined by the table limit you select when joining. Players cannot join mid-round — you must wait for the next round to start if you join a table after dealing has begun.
Dealing Rules
After all boots are placed, the dealer (automated by the game) distributes 3 cards face-down to each player, dealing one card at a time clockwise. All cards are private — you cannot show your cards to other players except during a show or sideshow. Once cards are dealt, the betting round begins starting from the player to the dealer's left.
Betting Rules
Blind Players (Chaal without seeing cards)
- A blind player has not viewed their cards
- On each turn, a blind player may: Bet (place the current minimum stake) or Pack/Fold
- The minimum bet for a blind player equals the current table stake
- A blind player can choose to "See" their cards at any turn, but then becomes a seen player for all subsequent turns
Seen Players (Chaal after seeing cards)
- A seen player has viewed their 3 cards
- On each turn, a seen player may: Chaal (bet), Raise (increase the bet), or Pack/Fold
- The minimum bet for a seen player is double the blind player's minimum bet
- The maximum bet is typically 4x the current stake (table rules may vary)
Stakes Progression
The stake (minimum bet amount) can increase as the round progresses when players raise. When a player raises, the new raised amount becomes the minimum for the next player. Stakes continue to increase until most players fold or a showdown occurs.
Sideshow Rules
A sideshow (also called "back show") is a private comparison between two seen players:
- Only a seen player can request a sideshow
- The request can only be made to the immediately preceding player (the player who bet just before you)
- The preceding player can accept or decline the sideshow
- If accepted: both players compare hands privately. The player with the weaker hand must fold. If hands are equal, the player who requested the sideshow must fold
- If declined: the round continues normally with no comparison made
- A blind player cannot be asked for or request a sideshow
Show Rules (Showdown)
A show can only occur when exactly two players remain in the round:
- Either remaining player can request a show by paying the show fee (typically double the current stake)
- Both players reveal their cards simultaneously
- The player with the higher-ranked hand wins the entire pot
- If hands are completely equal (a true tie), the player who requested the show loses
- A blind player can request a show but must pay the seen player's show rate
- Two blind players: if both are blind, the show fee is the blind rate; either player can request
Winning the Round
A round ends in one of two ways:
- All opponents fold: The last remaining player wins the entire pot without showing cards
- Showdown: After a show request, the player with the better hand wins the pot
